Whether you are looking for a high-limit hold ’em or Omaha tournament, the Wynn Poker Network is the place to play. There are daily tournaments and the WPT World Championship and WPT Prime Event.
WPT World Championship
Until now, the World Poker Tour (WPT) has mainly been a tour for professional players, but this year, the tournament series has expanded to include amateurs and even beginners. The WPT is also offering a new, significantly less expensive satellite program. Aside from its signature Championship events, the tour is offering a $1,100 buy-in, $2 million guaranteed Ladies Championship, a $200,000 guaranteed Prime Championship, and a mystery bounty event.
With the end of the year coming up, the World Poker Tour is gearing up for a massive festival that will culminate with a $10,400 buy-in, $15,000,000 guaranteed main event at Wynn Las Vegas. This event will be the largest live tournament guarantee in poker history. The tournament series will run from December 1 to 20, with a total of 23 events on the schedule.
WPT Prime Event
During December, the World Poker Tour will be holding its WPT Prime Event at the Wynn Poker Room. This $1,100 buy-in No Limit Hold’em event will feature a $2 million guaranteed prize pool. In addition to the big tournament, there will be a series of satellites to qualify players for the main event.
In the future, the WPT and Wynn are planning to host a HORSE championship, a tag team event, and Omaha 8 or Better championship. These are all part of the World Championship Festival that will run from today through Dec. 20 at the Wynn Las Vegas Casino. These events will contribute to the WPT Player of the Year Leaderboard. The eventual champion will be named to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.
The WPT has confirmed the full tournament schedule for the upcoming series. The series will include the televised WPT Prime Championship. In addition, the WPT will also feature a $10,400 buy-in No Limit Hold’em Championship. This is the largest live tournament guarantee in history.
Daily tournaments
Located in the Encore side of the property, the Wynn Las Vegas poker room boasts a massive, 8,600 square foot, 28-table poker room. This poker room offers both cash games and tournaments. Players can choose from a variety of game variations and stakes, including No Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, and Limit Hold’em. The room also features a sports wagering window, as well as a dedicated poker menu.
The Wynn Vegas poker room offers a diverse selection of cash games, ranging from the standard no-limit Texas hold’em to limit pot-limit Omaha. In addition to these poker games, the casino offers a large number of daily tournaments. In the morning, the tournaments feature a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool. During the day, the daily games offer players the chance to win additional prizes, including a seat in the WSOP Circuit and the granddaddy of them all, a trip to the WPT World Championship in December.
High-limit hold ’em and Omaha
Having a high-limit Hold ’em and Omaha game at the Wynn Poker Room is a great experience. The room looks great, the dealers are professional, and the food is fantastic. There are plenty of tournaments and events to choose from. If you are a beginner or an intermediate player, start off with smaller limit tables. Then move up to the larger limits.
The highest hand wins the pot. The lowest hand loses. There are a variety of Omaha games, including low-limit, high-limit, and Pot-limit Omaha.
In Pot-limit Omaha, players use two hole cards to form their best hand. They can then draw to a variety of holdings, but the best hand usually wins the pot. This makes this a very popular variation.
Typically, Pot-limit Omaha is played in a split-pot format. A minimum of five cards are dealt to each player. The blinds start at $1/3 and increase to $10/20. The player who calls the final bet wins half of the pot. This allows players to avoid restrictions, and makes it an inexpensive way to play.
